Our Strat measures 20.7mm at the 1st fret and 22.2mm at the 12th; our Tele is virtually identical at 20.9mm and 22mm, which would indicate that little has changed, perhaps just a slightly fuller shoulder in lower positions.. The treble bleed keeps things clean as you pull back the volume, and the tone is wide ranging and nicely voiced.

Treble bleed or 50’s wiring

The best way to tell is to play one and see. In the end though it's a treble bleed, when you turn the volume down you will have still pretty much the same tone you had on 10 just quieter. IME they do not have the same effect of a softer sound you get when you turn down a non treble bleed volume pot.
